From the initial medical consultation, Dr. Garchitorena aims to gain a thorough understanding of each patient’s unique constellation of challenges and strengths, then build a customized treatment plan using her integrated approach.
She works with her patients as active participants in their own healing, to discover and transform their ‘obstacles to cure’ -- such as harmful dietary patterns, environmental pathogens, or destructive habitual behaviors that prevent health and happiness.
As part of your evaluation and treatment, Dr. Garchitorena may order conventional medical lab analysis, as well as evaluations of neurotransmitter levels, food allergy and senstitivity, hormone levels, breast thermography, cellular vitamin and mineral levels, and may screen for environmental toxicities such as heavy metals. Therapeutic infrared sauna is also available.
Dr. Garchitorena is currently an instructor at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA.

“My first insight into the deep connection between food, environment and health came during my volunteer work with organic farmers in my home country, the Philippines.
The dietary changes I made resulted in dramatic improvements in my health, and this inspired me to begin my journey into the art and science of naturopathic medicine.
I am committed to treating the whole person, using all the channels available – body, mind and spirit -- so that the person’s natural healing capacity is activated and realized. I believe there are infinite resources for healing, and I work to help patients discover theirs.
I invite my patients to be joyful participants in the journey towards their most vibrant self.”
