Dr. Jeannie Achuff is a licensed doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. She trained in family medicine and natural childbirth at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. Through her years of medical practice and training, she has gained a deep respect for the complexity and wisdom of the human body. She draws on the roots of western clinical and laboratory diagnosis as the foundations of her practice, while listening to and observing the patient through wise and intuitive ears to help unfurl the mysteries of each patient’s own health. While many doctors treat your disease and manage your symptoms, Dr. Achuff will treat you as a whole human and listen to the stories your symptoms tell in order to discern the true underlying cause.
Dr. Achuff works with patients of all ages, and is especially passionate about helping people to work with and prevent chronic disease. In a time when chronic disease has become so prevalent, she has found that the foundations of health we set for our children in the years prior to conception, all the way through the child’s adolescence, have a deep and lasting effect on long-term health. With specialized training in pregnancy care she very much enjoys her role in supporting women and couples through the process of planning pregnancies, achieving conception, and maintaining a healthy gestation.
In order to fully understand your health situation, Dr. Achuff will order bloodwork, run food sensitivity tests, and refer for diagnostic imaging. In treatment, she primarily uses nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, and biotherapeutic drainage. Please see Dr. Achuff’s website for more information on her philosophy, conditions treated, and patient intake forms.
